Karrie Yip

The pianist and multiple competition winner Karrie Kam-Yan Yip is the winner of the Beethoven Prize at the International Vienna Piano Competition "Wiener Klassik" 2024 - sponsored by C. Bechstein/Musikquartier. With her performance of the 6 Variations, the Hong Kong native prevailed in the competition with 65 other pianists from all over the world, who will be heard again this evening in the Ehrbarsaal - together with other interesting works from the late Romantic and Impressionist periods.

Karrie has just completed her Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music under the supervision of Sofya Gulyak and Ilya Kondratiev on a full scholarship generously supported by the Croucher Trust, having previously completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the College under John Byrne with First Class Honours.
